Attorney Peterson handles the firm's transaction and insurance matters.
Attorney Peterson is experienced in the field of property and casualty insurance, commonly known as homeowners insurance, as both a public insurance adjuster and attorney. As a public adjuster, Mr. Peterson represented homeowners with regards to their homeowner's insurance claims and helped negotiate several millions of dollars in settlements. Using the unique skill set acquired as a Public Adjuster in conjunction with his knowledge of insurance law, Attorney Peterson has successfully represented homeowners as legal counsel, with a recent settlement in excess of $350,000.
Commercial and Residential Real Estate is a quickly growing area of Attorney Peterson's practice since the real estate comeback began a few years ago. Using his strong contracts background, Attorney Peterson prepares, negotiates and reviews contracts for the purchase and/or sale of properties, ensures clean title is conveyed and maintains a strict and organized schedule for all closings to ensure important deadlines are adhered to. Attorney Peterson is assisted by the firm's in house closing paralegal, who dedicates the majority of her time to the smooth and accurate advancement of each file.
Attorney Peterson routinely represents businesses and corporations in business purchases, sales, lease negotiations and litigation. He credits his success in focusing on the details that carry consequence to his client that they typically do not foresee. His experience also provides him with vast knowledge of common agreeable terms to make sure that his clients are not going into a purchase or lease with a significant disadvantage. With a focus in the Dental and Medical Industries, attorney Peterson has helped protect his clients while simultaneously creating an environment for his clients to form positive relationships with either the purchaser, buyer, or landlord through negotiating agreements where 1) the parties understand their obligations to one another and 2) is fair to both sides.

Associate Attorney
Attorney Thaller joined the firm in 2020. Her practice focuses primarily on family law, representing clients in all aspects of custody, divorce, and probate actions, including property division, alimony, child support, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements. Her office is in the New Haven Judicial District and she practices in the majority of the Districts in Connecticut.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an attorney at a boutique family law firm and at the Children's Law Center, in Hartford, Connecticut.
Attorney Thaller earned her Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her B.A. in Economics from Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is licensed to practice law in Connecticut and serves as a Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney for Minor Children.

Associate Attorney
Attorney Bowman focuses her practice on family law, representing clients in divorce, custody, paternity, child support, alimony, and related family court matters. She brings a concentrated background in family and juvenile law, with experience in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Peterson Law Group, Attorney Bowman worked as an associate attorney at The Law Offices of Amy Calvo MacNamara, LLC in Greenwich, Connecticut, where she represented clients in family law proceedings. During law school, she served as a Research Assistant and Service Chair of the Family and Juvenile Law Society, and participated in family and juvenile externships and the Family Alternative Dispute Resolution Symposium.
Attorney Bowman earned her Juris Doctor with a Concentration in Family Law, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she also received the Academic Excellence in Clinical Legal Education award. She holds a B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut Honors Program.

With over 30 years of trusted legal service in Connecticut, Attorney David G. Volman and his firm, Volman Law, have joined Peterson Law Group. This transition adds a Fairfield County office location in Shelton and expands the firm's capacity to serve clients in real estate closings, family law, wills and estate planning, and related areas of law. Attorney Volman serves as Of Counsel to the practice, ensuring continuity and the support his clients have come to trust.
Attorney Volman opened his independent law practice in February 1994 after beginning his career at Kleban & Samor in Southport and later becoming a partner at Yudkin, Young & Volman in Shelton. His practice spans residential and commercial real estate, divorce and family law, child custody and support, wills and estate planning, business law, and personal injury. He is licensed with Chicago Title Insurance Company and has extensive experience with government loan programs including FHA, VA, CHFA, and DOH.
